"Build an audience" feels stupid
When anyone starts creating content of online. Naturally the metric by which they measure success is - number of followers gained. Number of readers reading their stuff. Everyone tries to 'grow their audience'.
There are thousands of experts trying to help you with advice to 'grow your audience'.
This is natural and there's nothing wrong wanting this. To want to monetize your work.
There are more writers today then there's ever been. But there are only a handful of them are successful. And only a handful of them end up creating something truly original and magnificent. Most of the platforms - Substack and Youtube are geared to help you grow your audience. Growth is just in the water.

If someone asks why they should read my blog - my answer would be that I don't think they should. I don't want to to coerce you into reading it. Because that's just another way of saying that there's nothing orignal here.
My goal is to find insights on life and the things I'm interested and share them online. If you find it interesting or have something to add that is great.
What do I plan to write about? Not sure, but things I'm interested in: which is currently design, writing, startups, and internet businesses.
