Posting Weekly
The only time I have posted online is:
- When I am inspired to.
- When I have had a recurring schedule.
Relying on inspiration is a good, ineffective. What ends up happening is resistance comes in, in all forms. I've found that the best way to overcome resistance is to have a recurring schedule. Maybe to even tell someone about the recurring schedule.
The things that interest me are Learning, Skill Acquisition, and performance in Sports and Business. There are thousands of books and speakers who write about and create content on each of these topics.
Topics like motivation, creativity. There is a lot of advice out there. Over the years I have read many of these books. There are so many coaches now on the internet and in person.
Many of these books have a framework, a method, or a plan. This is the path to get there. This is nice. Because without having some kind of a path or framework, one is lost.
If one wants to be a better athlete, business-man or artist, they are given a path. A method. Something to follow. There are many that follow such advice. But only some of the people who read it have become great.
Why is that? If I am to examine my own life, I have read many such books, and haven't seen the results that I wanted to see.
I've not become world-class at any craft. Why is that? Is it that these authors are lying? Is it that I'm not following the correct method?
Or is it that such things cannot be taught through books, or any of these mediums? This is what I will be exploring over the next few weeks.
